$19.95

This tea towel features the front page of Guinea Gold on 15 August 1945 announcing the surrender of Japan to the Allied forces. One of a number of military newspapers circulated to troops in the Pacific, this copy of Guinea Gold was sent by Flight Lieutenant Harold Venning, a navigator with 7 Squadron RAAF in New Guinea, to his seven-year-old daughter Lorraine in North Perth as a souvenir.

Remember this historic moment when the war in the pacific finally came to a close with this soft linen tea towel hanging in your kitchen.
