Ceramic Cups
My art is deeply influenced by my personal journey through grief and loss. Each piece I create delicately, examines form, texture, and emotion, providing a glimpse into the intricate fabric of life.
The genie bottle, holds a special place in my practice, embodying the intangible hopes, wishes and dreams we all carry within us. The marbled coloured swirls that dance across the surface hint at a fairy-tale fantasy, as if a magical elixir for immortality is contained within.
As I make these delicate porcelain forms, I reflect on the personal treasures, family heirlooms, and cherished items I have collected over the years. With the passage of time, and through the lens of grief, my understanding of what is truly valuable has profoundly changed.
My ceramics are an invitation to experience a moment of calm and reflection, encouraging the viewer to connect with the quiet beauty found in everyday life.
