This greeting card features a painting presented to Rupert Reginald Robbins by crewmen of the Second World War hospital ship TSMV Manunda as a souvenir of his good fortune.
During the Second World War, Robbins was part of the crew of the US Merchant Navy ship City of Fort Worth. He was picked up by the Manunda after being swept into the Pacific Ocean from his own shop during a storm off the east coast of Australia.
